It is governed by Impeccable Educational Society, registered under society act XXXI, 1890, Government of India, established in Feb 2008 to provided Quality Education to Empower the Nation with quality manpower.
About the University
"Swami Vivekanand Subharti University" has been established by Government of Uttar Pradesh under "Swami Vivekanand Subharti Unviersity Uttar Pradesh Act 2008" (Act 29 of 2008), which received the assent of his excellency Governer of Uttar Pradesh on September 04, 2008 vide letter no. 2357/Session-1-08-20 (5)/2007.
The University has an impressive campus sprawled over an area of around 300 acres, 65 kms away from Delhi in Meerut on national highway 58, Delhi-Haridwar-Meerut bypasss road. The University presently runs around 70 programmes in normal mode through 13 constituent colleges & institutions, all located within the campus. The University has nearly 8,000 students on its roll.
"Swami Vivekanand Subharti University" is first and only State University of Uttar Pradesh approved by distance education Council on recommendation of Joint Committee of UGC, AICTE and DEC.
The degrees awarded by the University through Distance Education stand automically recognized for all purposes including employment to post & services under the central government, as per Government of India gadget notification no. 44, F.No. 18-15/93-TD.V/TS-IV dated 01.03.1995.
Swami Vivekanand Subharti University, being a state University u/s 2f of UGC Act 1956, is competent to award degrees specified in section 22 of UGC Act 1956, as per UGC letter no. F.9.37/2008(CPP-1) dated 06.02.2009.
